Obsan compiles health-related information in Switzerland and analyses it. It provides support for the Confederation, the cantons and other health-related institutions in their planning, decision-making and actions. Obsan receives its mandate from the Confederation and the cantons.
To fulfil its mandate, Obsan offers a wide range of services to federal and cantonal offices, and also to non-state customers. These extend from advice on in-depth analyses and evaluation of databases to the distribution of information. These may comprise advice, analyses of databases, in-depth reports or supply of information.
