Ageing workforce in an ageing society
How many health professionals will the Swiss healthcare system need by 2030?
Forecasts of the additional healthcare workforce needed by 2020 were publis-hed in February 2009 (Personnel de santé en Suisse - Etat des lieux et perspectives jusqu'en 2020, Document de travail 35 and Fact Sheet). This paper completes this analysis by assessing the specific impact of the aging of the healthcare workforce by 2030.
